What is the role of ACHETS?
ACHETS offers accreditation and network & support services for Christian Educators and Christian Schools across the African continent and the world. Its key purposes include:
• to assist member institutions throughout Africa and the world in their quest for quality and excellence in Christian theological education programmes.
• to assess, accredit and provide support for Bible Colleges, Seminaries, Christian Universities and Theological Schools in Nigeria and internationally, and
• to promote accreditation as an effective mechanism for providing confidence.
What is the first step in the accreditation process?
Submit corporate membership form along with the application non refundable fee and annual membership fee. Member Institutions must maintain membership for one or two years before seeking accreditation. Member school only may apply as a "Candidate for Accreditation" by submitting a letter of intent for accreditation on the letterhead of the institution and a copy of the certificate of incorporation by relevant authorities or any other document that proves that the tertiary institution is owned or controlled by Ministries or Denominations recognized by the constitution of the Federal Republic of Nigeria/host country.
